At RemeVerse, clean beauty isnโ€™t a trend – itโ€™s our standard.

September is National Skincare Awareness Month, but honestly? We celebrate skincare awareness all year long. Why? Because your skin deserves transparency, honesty, and products you can truly trust.

Thatโ€™s why we created our Absolutely Absentโ„ข list: the ingredients we pledge will never touch our formulations. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever.

We believe that โ€œclean beautyโ€ shouldnโ€™t be a marketing buzzword – it should be the backbone of everything you put on your skin. When you open a jar or bottle of RemeVerse, you donโ€™t have to second guess whatโ€™s inside. You know itโ€™s safe, effective, and created with your health in mind.

In this post, weโ€™ll walk through what Absolutely Absent means, why it matters for your skin, and the specific ingredients youโ€™ll never see in our products.

Why โ€œAbsolutely Absentโ€ Matters

For decades, the beauty industry has used certain ingredients simply because they were cheap, easy to formulate with, or effective in the short term – even if long-term safety was questionable.

At RemeVerse, we know better. And when you know better, you do better.

Many of these ingredients:

  • Disrupt hormones
  • Cause irritation or allergic reactions
  • Damage the skin barrier
  • Harm the environment
  • Or, in some cases, are even linked to cancer

Thatโ€™s not good enough for us or for you.

Our customers deserve the best, especially women in their 40s, 50s, and beyond who want products that are gentle yet effective. So we hold ourselves to the highest standard: if thereโ€™s doubt about an ingredientโ€™s safety, we donโ€™t use it. Period.

The RemeVerse Promise

Weโ€™re fully transparent, not only about what we include (like peptides, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, and plant-based extracts), but also about what we leave out.

Our Absolutely Absent list is our way of giving you peace of mind. When you use RemeVerse, you can rest assured that youโ€™re not exposing your skinโ€”or your bodyโ€”to unnecessary risks.

Hereโ€™s a closer look at the ingredients youโ€™ll never find in our products, and why we said goodbye to them for good.

The โ€œAbsolutely Absentโ€ List

๐Ÿšซ Triclosan

Once popular in antibacterial soaps, triclosan is linked to hormone disruption and can contribute to antibiotic resistance. Itโ€™s been banned in some countries, but we never used it in the first place.

๐Ÿšซ Siloxanes

These silicone-based compounds can build up in the body and the environment. Studies suggest they may interfere with hormone function. We believe smooth skin shouldnโ€™t come with hidden risks.

๐Ÿšซ Phthalates (DBP, DEHP, DEP, and others)

Used to make fragrances last longer, phthalates are linked to hormone disruption and reproductive health concerns. Since your health is our priority, theyโ€™re out.

๐Ÿšซ Parabens (Methyl, Butyl, Ethyl, Propyl)

Widely used as preservatives, parabens have been shown to mimic estrogen in the body. Thatโ€™s not something we want in our formulasโ€”or near your skin.

๐Ÿšซ Mineral Oil

This byproduct of petroleum may feel moisturizing at first, but it creates a barrier that clogs pores and prevents skin from breathing. We prefer nourishing oils and ingredients that actually benefit your skin.

๐Ÿšซ Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA)

A preservative often found in personal care, EDTA is not biodegradable and can build up in the environment. We keep your skin and the planet in mind.

๐Ÿšซ Formaldehyde

Yes, some skincare products have contained this known carcinogen as a preservative. Needless to say, itโ€™s Absolutely Absent at RemeVerse.

๐Ÿšซ Hydroquinone

Once used in skin-lightening products, hydroquinone can cause irritation, ochronosis (a skin disorder), and other side effects. We donโ€™t believe in quick fixes that cause long-term harm.

๐Ÿšซ Methylisothiazolinone & Methylchloroisothiazolinone

These preservatives are known skin sensitizers, often causing contact allergies. Not welcome here.

๐Ÿšซ Oxybenzone

Found in many chemical sunscreens, oxybenzone is linked to hormone disruption and environmental harm (including coral reef damage). We say no, thanks.

๐Ÿšซ Triclocarban

Another antibacterial ingredient that disrupts hormones and contributes to antibiotic resistance. Skincare should heal, not harm.

๐Ÿšซ Lead & Lead Acetate

Shockingly, some cosmetics still contain traces of lead. Itโ€™s toxic, it accumulates in the body, and itโ€™s never acceptable.

๐Ÿšซ Mercury & Mercury Compounds

Used historically in skin-lightening products, mercury is toxic to both humans and the environment. Needless to say, itโ€™s absent.

๐Ÿšซ Talc

Concerns about asbestos contamination make talc a no-go. Your skin deserves safer alternatives.

๐Ÿšซ Insoluble Plastic Microbeads

Once used in exfoliants, microbeads pollute oceans and harm wildlife. We only use gentle, environmentally friendly exfoliants.

๐Ÿšซ Resorcinol

Often used in hair dyes, resorcinol can irritate skin and disrupt thyroid function. It has no place in your skincare.

๐Ÿšซ Styrene

A possible human carcinogen sometimes found in cosmetic packaging or formulations. We keep it out.

๐Ÿšซ Nanomaterials

These tiny particles can penetrate skin and enter the bloodstream. Until proven 100% safe, theyโ€™re not part of our formulations.

๐Ÿšซ 1,4 Dioxane

A byproduct of certain manufacturing processes, 1,4 dioxane is a possible carcinogen. We ensure itโ€™s Absolutely Absent.

๐Ÿšซ Animal Oils, Musk & Fats

Except for beeswax, honey, lanolin, or carmine, we avoid animal-derived oils. We care about animal welfare and clean sourcing.

Why This List Matters to You

You may be thinking, โ€œThatโ€™s a long list!โ€ And youโ€™d be right. But hereโ€™s the thing: we donโ€™t want you to ever have to worry about it.

When you buy skincare from a big-box store, chances are the ingredient list is full of things you donโ€™t recognize. At RemeVerse, our promise is simple: if itโ€™s on our Absolutely Absent list, youโ€™ll never have to second guess.

For women (and men) in their 40s, 50s, and beyond, this is especially important. As our skin changes, it becomes more sensitive and less tolerant of harsh chemicals. Using products free of irritants isnโ€™t just a โ€œnice to haveโ€, itโ€™s essential for healthy, radiant skin.

Clean Beauty = Peace of Mind

Weโ€™re not here to scare you with long chemical names or make you feel guilty about what youโ€™ve used in the past. Weโ€™re here to give you peace of mind.

When you choose RemeVerse, you choose products that are:

  • Safe โ€“ free from questionable ingredients
  • Effective โ€“ packed with science-backed actives like peptides, antioxidants, and hyaluronic acid
  • Trustworthy โ€“ made in Franklin, TN with US-sourced ingredients
  • Transparent โ€“ weโ€™ll always tell you whatโ€™s inside (and whatโ€™s not)

Our Commitment to You

โ€œAbsolutely Absentโ€ isnโ€™t just a marketing phrase. Itโ€™s a promise. A commitment. A standard we hold ourselves to every single day.

Because at the end of the day, skincare isnโ€™t just about looking good. Itโ€™s about feeling confident in the choices you make for your skin, your health, and even the environment.

With RemeVerse, you donโ€™t have to wonder. You already know.

As we celebrate National Skincare Awareness Month, let this be your reminder: awareness is power. The more you know about what goes into your products (and what doesnโ€™t), the more empowered you are to make the best choices for yourself. And remember, at RemeVerse, youโ€™re never alone in that journey. Weโ€™re here with transparency, science, and skin-loving careโ€”always Absolutely Absent of the things that donโ€™t serve you.
